FAQ
1. Is the Ice bath safe?
Yes — when properly guided.
During the workshop, you are guided step by step through breathing, mindset and cold exposure.
The ice bath always takes place under the supervision of a certified Wim Hof Method instructor.
You learn to listen to your body and respect your personal limits, making the experience powerful — yet safe.
2. Do I need experience with breathing or cold exposure?
No, absolutely not.
The workshop is specifically designed for beginners as well as curious, more experienced participants.
Everything is explained clearly and built up step by step.
All you need is an open mindset — the rest you will learn during the session.
3. What should I bring to a workshop?
A large towel
-
Swimwear
-
Comfortable clothing

A warm sweater, jacket or hat (for after the ice bath)

A bottle of water
You will always receive a practical checklist by email prior to the workshop.
4. What if I feel anxious about the ice bath?
That is completely normal.
Many participants feel tension or nervousness — and that is often where the real magic begins. You learn how to work with discomfort and discover how strong you truly are.
Nothing is ever mandatory, and your safety and well-being always come first.

A deeper connection with yourself and with nature
6. Where do the workshops take place?
The workshops take place at carefully selected locations in the Netherlands.
At this moment, breathing sessions are organized in calm and comfortable indoor spaces, such as community centers or similar locations, where safety and relaxation are central.
These spaces provide the right facilities to work with breathing, focus and body awareness in a peaceful setting.
The connection with nature and natural elements remains an important part of Kokoro Breath. Where possible, workshops are combined with outdoor moments. In the future, sessions will increasingly take place at fully natural locations, such as forests, dunes or near open water.
7. How long does a workshop last?
A Fundamentals Workshop usually lasts between 4 and 5 hours.
There is ample time for explanation, breathing exercises, cold training, moments of rest and space for questions. Everything is guided at a calm and comfortable pace.
8. Can I join a workshop if I have an injury or medical condition?
That depends on your personal situation.
If you have serious medical conditions — such as heart problems, epilepsy, high blood pressure, or if you are pregnant — it is important to consult your doctor beforehand.
You are always welcome to contact me for personal guidance.
Safety always comes first

Groups are very welcome, and private or team workshops (for example for companies or groups of friends) are also available.
